FACILITATORS PLAYSHOP

THE FACILITATOR’S PLAYSHOP is an opportunity for those who work with groups of people to learn facilitation and presentation skills through the metaphor of a drum circle. A healing experience for the heart, mind and body, cultures throughout the world have used the ageless forces of rhythm to affect change. Arthur Hull, a master facilitator and keynote presenter offers this week-long program for group leaders to join him and learn the basic techniques of group facilitation. Arthur’s charismatic personality reverberates throughout this fun, dynamic and playful event where participants will learn the technical skills inherent in a successful rhythm based event.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Through small group activities using movement, voice, musical instruments and improvisational games, participants will learn group leadership skills, platform presentation techniques and body language communication. Peer selected students will have an opportunity to facilitate the annual inter-island community drum circle. At the completion of this program, participants will have the necessary skills to lead groups through rhythm based events and will have a practical understanding of the basic techniques necessary to successfully lead and facilitate groups of any size and composition.

“I have read the new book, listened to the new CD, been to 2 previous week-long Playshops, and yet, still, the guy has more to offer than ever about the potential of rhythm and drumming bringing the very best out of humanity.”
—FRED ARDILLO

“He is fully empowered on his path and he is totally willing to share that, and empower everyone within the sound of his voice. He is open and approachable as a leader and is informal and casual in his style. This is not easy for seven days running. The man knows no fear.”
—BARBARA BIRD

“If you’re ready to have your ‘rhythm soul zipper’ unzipped, your passion called out, be coached hard, play hard, laugh a lot, connect deeply, get stretched to the max, be inspired, come home ready to go, then six months later begin to understand and appreciate what you REALLY got gifted... go be with Arthur. He’s the Master man.”
—CONNOR SAUER

“Drums and people go together, but Arthur Hull’s Rhythmical Playshop can teach you how to put them together with confidence, style, and bliss!”
—PAT CAIN

“‘The Arthurian One’ creates the safest, most playful, and profoundly meditative space I’ve ever been in, as much shaman and therapist as drummer and master teacher.”
—JANET PLANET

“It was a healing place, soul searching and empowering.”
—KEN CRAMPTON

“... Not everyone there was a drummer and that did not matter ...there were people from all parts of the community, and we ALL created beautiful music together.”
—JAQUI MACMILLAN
