Japan Loves the Drum Circle!Japanese musicians, Music Therapists and Educators among others have flocked to the Hawaii Facilitators Playshop and other US trainings to learn from Arthur Hull. In 2003, Japanese students invited Arthur to teach Drum Circle Facilitation in Japan. Arthur brings this extensive community building experience to Japan where he has taught hundreds of students and instigated a movement that has brought drum circles into Japanese community. Drum Circle Facilitation has become a big success in Japan with school teachers, Music Therapists, musicians, artists and performers among the many who have found the fun and excitement of using rhythm to motivate people. REMO inc. and Yamaha Music generously began sponsoring the Village Music Circles training in 2006 and continue to do so. Inspired by Arthur Hull and Village Music Circles trained facilitators Yamaha Japan now offers a Drum Circle Facilitators’ Association for serious practitioners of the art Drum Circle Facilitation.
